This is a general breastfeeding education and support consult. We can help you with latch and positioning, soothing a fussy baby, assistance with pumps, nipples shields, and other devices.
Newborn Visit
Birth Through 4 Weeks
This Newborn Great Start Consult is for parents that want to get breastfeeding off to a great start. Breastfeeding may be going well or there may be some struggles. If your baby is under 4 weeks of age, please schedule this consult. You do not have to be having issues to schedule this consult.
Prenatal Consult
Virtual or In-person
A prenatal breastfeeding consult can be done at any time during your pregnancy. We will take a complete health history as well as answer any questions and concerns that may impact your breastfeeding journey.
Pumping, Milk Storage & Back to Work
Virtual or In-Person
You may be an exclusive pumping mama, you may want to pump occasionally or you may be returning to work and you need help going over your pump, flange size, bottle introduction, and milk storage. This can also be a consult for bottle introduction and even bottle refusals. We do not promise that your baby will take a bottle right away but will give you tips and tricks to get your baby to take a bottle.
Lactation Consult for Babies with Breastfeeding Difficulties
Babies Older Than 4 Weeks
If you are having challenges and difficulties with breastfeeding, please don’t hesitate to call. We will use a hospital grade scale, and all of the tools of the trade, including years of experience working with new moms and babies. We will take a full medical history and do an examination of the baby to address any of the issues you are having.
Follow Up Consults
Current Clients Only
Follow up consults for current clients can be done after a Great Start Consult or a Consult for Breastfeeding Difficulties. We can do a weight check, update the care plan and go over any questions that you may have.
Virtual Flange Size Fitting
Virtual Only
Have your pump and all of the supplies, including any size flange that you have, ready before our call.
We will watch you pump via an app called Spruce, a HIPAA compliant, privacy protected app that you will need to download prior to our visit. When you schedule your appointment you will have access to a form to provide us with some more information before the virtual phone call.
Payment Information
We are not contracted with any insurance companies but can provide you with a superbill receipt with diagnostic codes that you can use to file for possible reimbursement from your insurance.
